In short
- Using Mansa is free. Nothing is charged without your written yes.
- Your answers stay yours. We use them to write your proposal and set up your workspace.
- A proposal is an offer. Nothing starts until you accept it.
- Accepting online, with your name, is how you sign.
- Questions: deploy@africacen.org.
1. About these terms
AfCEN Deploy (“Deploy”, “we”, “us”) is run by AfCEN in Kenya. Mansa is the guide on this site that helps a business sign up for Deploy. These terms cover using Mansa: creating an account, answering the interview, and receiving and deciding on a proposal.
Using your Deploy workspace is covered by the proposal you accept, including its founding-customer terms. If those terms and these ever differ, the proposal you accepted wins.
By creating an account you agree to these terms and confirm you have read our Privacy notice.
2. Your account
- You must be 18 or older and allowed to act for the business you tell us about.
- Give us true information and keep it up to date.
- Keep your sign-in to yourself. Tell us straight away if you think someone else has used it.
- The email on your account is how you sign in to your workspace later, so use one you will keep.
3. What you tell us
Your answers, files and records remain yours. You allow us to use them to write your proposal, set up your workspace and talk to you about both.
Only share information you are allowed to share. If you give us details about your customers or staff, you are responsible for having the right to do so. In part 8 of the interview you choose what Deploy may read; Deploy only ever reads those records and never changes them.
4. Cost
Signing up, the interview and your proposal are free. Your proposal says what Deploy costs. For the founding cohort, the first 90 days are free and the monthly price after that is agreed with you in writing before they end. Nothing is ever charged without your yes.
5. Proposals
- A proposal is our offer, written from your answers. Nothing starts until you accept it.
- A proposal tells you what is available today, what is coming and what we cannot do yet. “Coming” is not a promise of a date.
- AI drafts the proposal and a person at AfCEN reads it before it is sent.
- Until you accept, we may revise or withdraw a proposal. The version you accept is the one that counts.
- You can ask us anything about it first, at deploy@africacen.org, or ask for a short session to walk you through it.
6. Accepting online
When you tick the box, give your name and press and hold “accept”, you are signing the proposal, including its founding-customer terms. We record your name, the time, the IP address and browser details, and a fingerprint of the exact text you accepted, as the record of what was agreed. You can decline instead, and tell us why if you wish.
7. Using Mansa properly
Do not:
- try to get into accounts, data or parts of the service that are not yours;
- upload anything harmful, such as viruses, or anything you have no right to share;
- pretend to be someone else or a business you do not act for;
- copy or collect data from Mansa with automated tools, or overload it.
8. AI suggestions
Mansa’s suggestions and answers come from AI and can be wrong. Check them before you rely on them. They are not legal, tax or financial advice.
9. The service
We work to keep Mansa available and correct, but we may change, pause or stop parts of it, and we cannot promise it will always be free of errors or interruptions. We will tell you about changes that affect a proposal you have accepted.
10. Responsibility
Mansa is provided free and as it is. As far as the law allows, we are not responsible for indirect losses, such as lost profits, from using it. Nothing in these terms limits any right you have that the law does not allow us to limit.
11. Ending
You can stop using Mansa at any time and ask us to delete your information (see the Privacy notice). We may close an account that breaks these terms, and will tell you why.
12. Law
These terms are governed by the laws of Kenya. If something goes wrong, tell us first and we will try to put it right. If we cannot agree, the courts of Kenya decide.
13. Changes
If we change these terms, we will update the date at the top and, for important changes, tell you before they apply. A change never alters a proposal you have already accepted.
